The Westslope Cutthroat
What's your favorite Cutthroat species? They are all amazing but there is just something about seeing a red bellied colored up Westslope Cutthroat (or WCT as we like to call them) coming up from the depths of a clear pool to smash your dry fly. Even though these don't get that big, they are typically eager to eat your fly and fun to look at.
Habitat - Widely distributed throughout Montana, Wyoming, Idaho, Washington, and Oregon. They currently only occupy about 60% of their natural habitat. With the main threat being the introduction of non native species. While several states have good stocking programs putting WCT in high mountain lakes, nothing really beats finding them in their natural habitat.
Conservation - We are donating 4.20% of every order directly to organizations fighting to preserve this species.
