The deep robber is a fast dropping jig made of iron so you won’t have to worry about bending it into a circle like some of the other tuna jigs guys have been using. They’re butt weighted with a 2:3 ratio so they’ll drop quick with less action if you want the reaction bite, otherwise you can also rig them in reverse for a slower wobble on the way down which gives the jig a lot more action. These are on the long side like some of the knife jigs that have been used at night. If you’re using them on a rail setup with a yoyo style retrieve to get the bite I would recommend sticking to only a bottom hook setup to avoid the foul hooking that happens with running hooks on both sides. These have a great action when actively jigged but since they’re pretty heavy it can get tiring fast, the slim profile does reduce some of the resistance on the way up.
