These new jigs from JYG Pro are a nice addition to their lineup, filling the gap of a faster dropping lower profile design for guys fishing in deep water or in high current scenarios. These will work great here in SoCal with our increased depth limit for rockfish as well as all of the tuna fishing we have had for the last few years. The last few months more people have been asking for a sleeker knife jig style lure that will be able to drop faster when the tuna are hanging out in the 300+ foot range and these will be perfect for it. The bigger sizes will be great for slow pitch jigging on sport boats where you don’t have as much control over the conditions you’re fishing at, so you’ll be able to avoid some of the issues associated with higher current and a drifting boat. Overall they look great and are sure to work well for a wide range of fishing here.
