New from Mustad, heavy duty big game assist hooks. Lets face facts, most factory made assist hooks are made for small game, perfect for overfished reefs with small fish. However, taking those same hooks to battle with 200 lb fish is a bad joke, broken hearts the result.  With the exception of some larger, heavier duty 5/0-9/0 assist hooks we had made several years ago, there are few factory made assist hooks which make use of heavier and larger hooks for those of us targeting serious fish. Most are a 2X design which is fine for smaller fish, but when going for larger grade fish, heavier fish, stronger fish, then the Mustad J-Assist hooks come into play. Mustad changed that equation with the introduction of their Heavy Jigging Assist hooks.

The J-Assist1 comes with a single heavy duty braided assist line which will work perfect for the bigger jigs. The green flash skirt makes them perfect for bigger jigs in bait colors, anchovy, sardine and mackerel patterns go great with the skirt. These are heavy duty and large hooks made for bigger jigs and fish.
